The All new Renault Kwid was launched at a price of Rs.3.8 Lakhs. This 1.0 Litre version will just be available in RXT and RXT (O) variants. The price of RXT (O) is a little higher and it costs Rs.3.96 Lakhs. However when you look at the exterior, the car remains the same to its 800cc sibling.
The only notable additions to the SUV like exteriors are the Two-tone OVRMS and snazzy chequered graphics under the door handle. The car is now powered by a 999cc 3-cylinder DOHC engine that churns out 68PS of power and 91Nm of peak torque.
The new 1.0-litre motor is 14PS more powerful and 19Nm torquier than its younger version. The car also has a 5 speed gear box and it claims a fuel efficiency of 23 Kms/litre.
Apart from this, the car has some safety features like remote keyless entry, central locking, engine immobilizer and seat belts for front and rear passengers. Now this car will be a tough competitor to Maruti Suzuki Alto K10, the Hyundai Eon and the Tata Tiago petrol.
