Hyundai is planning to launch an Automatic version of i20 soon in India and this automatic transmission will be offered only with petrol engine. This automatic version will be powered by a 1.4 litre petrol unit that makes a maximum power of 97 bhp.
The standard manual gearbox equipped in i20 petrol comes with a 1.2-litre engine that delivers 81bhp of power. The gearbox on i20 Petrol AT will be a 4 speed torque converter unit. This new AT version is expected to be a solid competitor for Honda Jazz and Maruti Suzuki Baleno.
The Creta SUV with a petrol engine is also available with an automatic gearbox and the all-new Elantra has been launched with an optional automatic gearbox for both petrol and diesel engines. Bookings will start by mid-September.
