Once while eating food Emperor Akbar praised the delicious dish of brinjal. Birbal was flattering Akbar, also by praising the tasteful dish of brinjal.
Next day, Akbar began to count the disadvantages of brinjal. Birbal also agreed and stated that brinjal. Was not a good vegetables.
Akbar was astonished. He asked Birbal, “Birbal, yesterday you were all praise for brinjal and now you are Criticizing it, why so?”
“Majesty, I am your servant, not the brinjal’s. Whatever you say I will repeat the same thing,” replied Birbal. Birbal’s reply amused Emperor Akbar.
