Kick is one of the biggest hits in Telugu Cinema when released that year. The film then ended up as the career's biggest hit for Actor Ravi Teja and director Surrender Reddy. So both of them are emotionally attached to the movie. But the duo was not satisfied with the output of the film's Hindi remake starring Salman Khan which released last Friday.
Ravi Teja who is in Pattaya, Bangkok shooting for his Power movie watched the film there. He did not let out his impression on the film officially but it is said that he is not at all happy with it. On the other side, Surrender Reddy expressed his displeasure in open on Social Networking site, Facebook. He said, "Watched the Hindi remake Kick. It definitely does not do justice to our original movie or to Salman. Kick would have been the biggest movie ever for Salman if the makers understood the spirit of Kick".
The response is similar for the Telugu audience who watched both the versions. Kick has a SPECTACULAR weekend in India. Fri 26.50 cr, Sat 27.15 cr, Sun 30.18 cr. Total: ₹ 83.83 cr nett. The movie is now racing towards ₹ 100 cr mark, Salman Khan is the first actor to have the *maximum* 100 crore grossers to his credit in India: 7 films!
