Rarely do we see Small movies getting success one after the other for an entire month. It was more like Big films take away the holiday season and small films had to try their luck coming in unseason. But August month in this year has a rare distinction, the entire month is totally dominated by small films. Sharwanand's Run Raja Run was the first hit which was profitable to all those involved in the trade in the first weekend of its release. Anjali's Horror Comedy - Geethanjali released in August 2nd week. The film made in a modest budget was break-even for all the buyers in Andhra Pradesh in the first week of its release and Nizam distributor was in profits zone from the 11th day of its release. The movie is having a healthy run even in the second week of its release despite the release of Sikander and Lovers. The third week of August has Suriya's dubbing film, Sikander and Sumanth Ashwin's Lovers coming before the audience. Despite a good opening, Sikander failed to sizzle but Lovers performed consistently well at the box office. Lovers was the own release of the Makers in Nizam through Dil Raju. He gave 75 Lakhs Advance which was recovered inside 5 days. The movie was profitable to buyers in all the territories. We will have to see what the last week of August has in store for the small films. Sachin Joshi's Nee Jathaga Nenundali is releasing this Friday. Will it be the dark house? Lets See!
