Victory Venkatesh may have been soft and innocent looking but he just delivered a big blow to Junior NTR. The actor's Rabhasa is releasing on Friday and it is an ambitious project for him since the actor is with out a proper hit for a long time. These days opening collections speak volumes about a film and it is always important to have a wide release.
But the hopes of wide release for Rabhasa were shattered by films like Run Raja Run, Lovers and Geethanjali. All these movies went on to become good hits this month and are doing well at the box office. They occupied decent number of theaters in both the Telugu states robbing the wide release chance for Rabhasa. The damage is not over.
The biggest shock for Junior NTR is from Victory Venkatesh. The actor's last film, Drishyam was very successful and since the movie is a family oriented film, the producers have retained some 30 best A class theaters in Telugu states. Suresh Babu wants the movie to complete 50 days in these centers. The 50th day of the film is on Friday which means Drishyam is blocking Rabhasa from about 30 best theaters in the state.
Rabhasa is the 23rd movie in NTR's career. This is Santosh Srinivas' second film. His debut movie, Kandireega is the biggest hit in Ram's career then and he wants to continue the success streak with Rabhasa too. Samantha and Praneetha are the heroines. Thaman is composing music for NTR once again after Brindavanam, Baadshah and Ramayya Vasthavayya.
