Okkadine Review : Story

Nithya menon [Sailaja] is daughter of Shivaji Rao [Sai Kumar]... popular politician who aims to become chief minister of state. After spending 10 years aboard Nithya comes to India, She happened meet Suryam [Rohith] and falls in love with him. While getting ready to marry Surya... Nithya comes to know that he trapped her to disclose evil dark character of Sai Kumar. What happens to love story of Nithya and Rohith? How Rohit is connected to Sai Kumar ? Did he succeeded in exposing Sai Kumar’s original character? has to be seen on the silver screen.

Okkadine Review : Star Performances

Like her earlier films .... Nithya menon has done a soft and sweet role yet again. Her performance was neat as usual in all other films of her. If she does not show any variation in future projects... days are ahead where producers would say good bye to her. Nara Rohit acting was just 'Okay', to be frank his role is so short in the film. He performed well in fight scenes but struggled hard with dance steps, He even looked fat like 30+ years in many scenes not matching to minimal levels of young or upcoming heroes. Sai Kumar gave good performance as expected, With an evil character whose face is covered by gentleman look... Saikumar performed very naturally. Naga babu looked alright, his role was decent and supportive to the story flow, especially fight scene of him at pre-climax was nice. Brahmi, Ali, Ms Narayana, Srinivas Reddy were not used properly to bring enough entertainment in the film.

Okkadine Review : Direction, Music & Technical Aspects

Srinivas Raga has done a pathetic work in direction and screenplay departments for this film. Story given by him was not bad but the way he presented it with dragging slow phased narration is big minus. He tried injecting small suspense element  like in his first film Katha but failed with flying colors. Music by debutante director turned singer Karthik also stands a big minus to the film. Other then 'Puttintollu Tharimeasaru' song... none of the songs sounded earful. Karthik sounded okay with background score at few scenes. Cinematography by Andrew is not all that impressive even songs appeared average on screen. Editor Marthand K.Venkatesh also joins the gang of bad technical team of Okkadine, he could have cut down the dragging scenes to trim the film. Even the production value were low and looks like a daily soap has been filmed for 70mm screen. The only good thing with technical team is the good choreographed fight scenes... they looked fresh and neat.

Okkadine : Analysis

A film getting released on valentine day with fresh pairing of Nara Rohit and bubbly Nithya Menon... anyone expects it to be a good romantic flick, but Okkadine disappoints you to the core. Its not a romantic love film, neither entertaining one but a revenge story with slow dragging narration which irritates your mood for today. The first half of the film is very slow moving like a snail [nattha] added to it... forceful injection of three unnecessary songs. Director tried to show a happy family with good bonding between them but lacks in filling the entertainment and emotion quotients properly at required places. He even tried giving a suspense touch to the film but didn't help in bringing required thrill and get audience connected to screenplay. Interval bang is surprising,  leaves you guessing at least second half has something interesting . Second half of the film discloses the story early... leaving the suspense factor die very soon. The only relief point here is the NTR's remix song. There are few good dialogues but they were already shown in the trailer. Nagababu small fight scene was good and tried supporting the film but even climax was not up-to the mark, it was dragged more then required and tests your patience, makes you pray  for the end title card or leave theater early.
