As we all knew, 'Rocky Handsome' is a remake of Korean Movie 'The Man from Nowhere'. The Original Korean version released on 2010 and after 6 years it has been remade in Bollywood. So what is the plot about? A calm and composed Pawnshop Keeper with a bad and daunting past takes on a drug-and-organ trafficking ring in hope of saving the child who is his only friend. But this Bollywood version is literally the same thing except for the actors. Even the screenplay was not changed.

John Abraham has Kabir Ahlawat/Rocky Handsome was so hot and he gets more attention when he involves in hand-to-hand combat sequences. But still the action is not good as the original. But most of the rope stunts test our patience. Style and Stunt sequences are the two pillars of the movie. But you can't make a movie just by relying on those two pillars. Shrutihaasan as Rukshida is just used for skin show. She's smoking hot and glamorous. But the actress still needs to mature more in emotional sequences. Sharad Kelkar as antagonist has done justice to the role. We can expect the same from him in Pawan's 'Sardaar' too. But more than everyone, the person who steals our heart is Baby Diya. Nora Fatehi's item number creates a spicy mood on the screen.

This is an action film and it does not disappoint on that level. The action scenes are what carry out the whole movie. Shanker Raman's cinematography and Aarif Shaikh's editing blend well with the story. The cinematography mostly is on low light and that clearly shows the darkness of the movie. The movie has few twists and turns that may surprise you. But even that will happen if you have not seen the original. Sunny Bawra and Inder Bawra scored music and we hear 'Rehnuma' and 'Rock the party' ringing in our ears. Production values are high and that is obvious from the making.

The movie runs high on action and low on emotions. But at a stage even that tests our patience. The emotions which have to be masterful fails and that is where the movie also gets derailed. The character Rocky Handsome tries to be cool and gritty and that never suits John Abraham. The treatment for such a dark action thriller should have been linear. But it is quite inconsistent. Sharad Kelkar as a touch top is the only actor who performs well and scores.

John Abraham,Shruti Haasan,Nishikant Kamat,Sunir Khetrapal,Sunny Bawra,Inder Bawra'Rocky Handsome' can't get 'Handsome' just because of action scenes !
