'Majnu'  is a Romantic comedy genre and it is shaped by 'Uyyala Jampala' fame Virinchi Varma. It is funded by Geetha Golla and P. Kiran under Anandi Art Creations and Keva Movies. Anu Emmanuel is making her Telugu debut with this venture. So let's see what the story is all about. Nani essays role of Aditya who plays role of an assistant director who fails in love but he refuses to feel sad. The movie opens with S.S.Rajamouli and Nani as his assistant ! He flirts with Suma (Priya Shri) and he narrates his flashback to Suma. Anu Emmanuel then enters and he falls in love once again. Things move in fun filled manner. An interesting and funny twist forces the interval and then we are into a Triangular love story. The movie then has a light fun-filled climax. Nani has chosen a simple route once again and has tasted success. A simple plot and it is well executed !

Nani once again has proved his mettle and he has opted for a simple story. His last release 'Gentleman' was a thriller and now this time it is a complete fun ride. He clearly knows what is in stores for him. He has essayed role of Aditya and has brought an energetic guy before our eyes. Anu Emmanuel who has made her debut in Telugu is too beautiful to handle. She is gorgeous and will come a long way in future. Vennela Kishore comes in second half and he is shown as a Taxi Driver in Mumbai. His role is also simple and neat. Raj Tarun's surprising guest appearance is solid. 

Technical wise the movie is too strong. Gnanasekhar's cinematography is the biggest strength. Each frame is so rich and colours are too vibrant. The background is also pleasant. Gopi Sunder's music is also melodious. 4 Songs are too pleasant. Well done Gopi ! Virinchi Varma has offered a 'Nothing new' kinda story. But screenplay is interesting. That's what has made the movie so special. Production values are also too good. Anandi Art Creations and Keva Movies have done extensive promotions. Editing is also crisp. However second half could have got even more cuts as it never had any emotional depth.

Majnu is a simple love story completely filled with all entertainment values. The movie has more to offer than just Love. Nani's script selection is wise.  Technical wise the movie is too good to handle. Music and Cinematography is the biggest strength of the movie. We have a clear winner here. On the flip side, the movie lacks emotional depth in latter half.
