'ISM' already grabbed more attention as Kalyan Ram stunned everyone with his Six-Pack look in the trailer. So the movie has got released today and let's see how good has he impressed. Satya Marthanda (Kalyan Ram) is an easy going guy in Europe and as always he falls in love with female lead Alia (Aditi Arya) who is the daughter of a dreaded don Javed Bhai (Jagapathi Babu). Satya tries hard to woo Alia and she falls for him. When Javed Bhai also approves his love, he cheats both of them and flies back to India. Who is Satya ? Why he trapped Alia ? What is his connection to Javed Bhai ? Well, you need to watch the movie on big screen to know these answers.

Kalyan Ram has taken a new birth in this movie. Right from his toned physique to his exemplary performance everything worked for him. Credit should completely go to Puri for showcasing Kalyan in a completely new avatar. Pre-climax chasing scenes were good. His emotional acting during pre-climax will fetch more accolades for sure. Jagapathi Babu is flawless and he gives quite a decent performance. His scenes with Kalyan Ram will be the highlight. And we have a lengthy court scene before climax and that is the best part of the movie. Aditi Arya is slim and sexy. That's it. She is not at all related to the movie. A better heroine would have done wonders to the film. Rest of the cast have done justice to their roles.

Best thing about Puri Jagannadh is characterization. But this time he fails in that. Among every other character, Jagapathi Babu's character was completely weak and poor. Also the corruption angle was shown in an extreme manner. Everything is quite predictable and there is no twist to the tale for real. Kalyan’s ideology and the way he goes about his mission should have been explained well. Puri also has lifted lots of scenes from 'Wikileaks' news which created huge sensation. However, Kudos to Puri for writing some powerful dialogues in the court scene. Production values by NTR Arts are top notch. Cinematography is brilliant and the new age lighting has done wonders. Editing is crisp as the running time is just 132 minutes. Anup Rubens music is ordinary, but he compensates that with thumping background score.

The plot was good, but the execution was pretty lame. In short, everything is spoiled due to lack of planning. ISM which could have been a better product faces lots of weakness due to Cliches and Lazy writing by Puri Jagannath. Also Puri has lifted most of the scenes from real life incidents and people still find it hard to connect them with that story.
