What Is Good: Sekhar Direction, Micky Music, Amala, Buddying Stars Performance, Colony Set.

What Is Bad: Slow narration in second half; Unimpressive Climax; Mostly for City, NRI crowds.

Boring Scenes: Dogs love track, Silly fights between two groups of Sun Shine Valley

Watch It Or Not ?: Not another heart touching flick from Amigos, May consider watching it once for Sekhar direction, Akkineni Amala's comeback and Micky music.

Life Is Beautiful Review : Star Performances

After 20 long years, Bengali turned Telugu actress, Amala Akkineni played a key yet very brief role, she was looking cute & charming, performed as she was always used to. Shriya Saran as Miss India aspirant was okay, Singer Sunitha dubbing added more weight to her performance. Though Anjala Zaveri's beautician role was short, she made her mark in the audiences mind. Abhijit as Srinivas & Shagun Kaur as Paddu looks promising to be future stars. Other lead actors Zara Shah, Sudhakar, Kaushik & Rashmi Shastry looked all right.

Life Is Beautiful Review : Direction, Music & Technical Aspects

While director's taking was okay, story-line wasn't great & mostly predictable, also screenplay wasn't gripping. Music director Mickey J Mayer tunes were neat but fail to make strong impression in audience mind due to lack of good lyrics in the absence of great Veturi. Nothing much to mention about the background score. As like Happy-Days a story with 6 stars require proper editing, but editor Marthand K Venkatesh couldn't extend required support this time; Routine story line may also the reason for it.
Art director, Thota Tharani's colony set was amazing and very natural... his work certainly deserves special appreciation. Camera work from Vijay C. Kumar was perfect and added required colors to the movie. Production values were decent.

Life Is Beautiful Review : Analysis

Life Is Beautiful started with whistles, claps and lot of expectations from audience. First hour of the movie was quite alright and seem to elevate characters with Amala contributing performance dose, while Shriya, Anjala Zaweri filled the required spiciness and buddying stars seemed to fit to their roles exactly. Pace slows down from pre-interval and that turn out to be dragging towards climax, which make audience feel 'director lost control over the film' and leave them with disappointment at the end.

Amala was 'a sure asset' to this film, but her very brief role doesn't seem like the one which could mark her come-back after 20 years. While Sekhar trade mark 'one liner dialogues' and emotional scenes are evident dragging screenplay and routine story, not so good editing, happy days shades, mixed with HUGE expectations on this movie from audience make you say "Sekhar Kammula Disappoints".
 Scenes U Don't Want to Miss :
  • Amala performance in the “Atu Itu Ooguthu" song
  •
  • Love track between shriya and Kaushik, especially in plane sequence
  •
  • Amala’s younger daughter Chinni expressing her feeling towards her mother

Life Is Beautiful Review : Conclusion

Pros :
  • Sekhar’s direction
  • Micky’s music
  • Colony set by Thotta Tharani
  • Cinematography by Vijay C. Kumar
  • Amala performance & acting of young lead actress
Cons :
  • Weak story
  • Slow narration
  • Unfinished & Confusing climax
  • Picturization of songs
  • No stars in the films
Bottom - Line : Not another heart touching flick from Amigos. At box office, with support from youth and urban crowd, film may do well in A centers, but B & C centers may disappoint Sekhar Kammula & his team.
