Sameera and Shaheed are a married couple who migrates to Iran for the nursing job. About 46 nurses from Iran are abducted and kept in captivity by the Islamic State Militants, and the incident turns Sameera and Shaheed's lives upside down. How the nurse is rescued by the Indian ambassador is the rest of the story.

This thriller movie which marks the directorial debut of editor Mahesh Narayanan. Parvathy, Kunchacko Boban, and Fahadh Faasil essay the lead roles. All the characters have performed very well in the movie. Parvathy is simply brilliant as the struggling nurse and excels in emotional sequences. Kunchacko Boban performance in the emotional sequences deserves a special mention. Even though Fahadh Faasil's screen space is comparatively less, the actor succeeds in stealing the show with his fabulous acting skills.

The strength of the well-packed script and the director's command over his craft is visible throughout the movie. The well picturized was sequences are mind blowing, but few scenes are prolonged. Sanu John Varghese's cinematography is one of the best major highlights of the movie. The songs composed by Gopi Sundar and Shaan Rahman are captivating and had stolen hearts of many.

The team has totally succeeded in making Take Off an overall engaging experience, even though it falls into slow pace at certain points. truly emotional, appealing, and technically brilliant film which will stay at your heart even after the leaving the theatres. The best tribute to the late director Rajesh Pillai. Watch the thriller movie this weekend and have a different feeling in rescuing an Indian nurse from Iran.
