Nene Raju Nene Mantri is a political thriller movie revolves around the life of Jogendra (Rana Daggubati) and his rise and fall as a Politician. He is a financier and lends money to people around him. But as days pass on, he grows interested towards the politics and directly aims for the CM position. Radha (Kajal) is the heart of the movie and Jogendra does everything for the love of Radha. In short the movie is the story of a simple man who moves into dark side of life.

The chemistry between Radha and Jogendra is made brilliantly. Teja's direction is the highlight of the movie. Kajal Aggarwal is a home maker out of choice. Her character is sensible, civil and pretty good. Catherine Tresa had portrayed the role of Devika Rani which is full of power and crime established in the movie. Rana Daggubati's performance in the movie is good after his classy performance in Baahubali 2. Rana single handedly carries the whole movie. Kajal is drop dead gorgeous and she is effing perfect. Ashutosh Rana, Pradeep Rawat, Ajay, Navdeep have done justice to their roles.

Anup Rubens had scored the music for this Political thriller movie. The album comprises six tracks Jogendra Jogendra, Sukhibhava, Devuditho Samaram, Radhamma Radhamma, Sumangali, Kathulatho Kolimi. The album as such has not garnered a buzz as such except for the song Jogendra Jogendra. D. Suresh Babu had made the production for the movie. The technical aspects are made excellently. The production values are too good for the movie. Cinematography brings out the dry tone in the village background and a clear white background during the political scenario. Editing could have been a lot better as the length is too dragging and it tests our patience. Many scenes could have been trimmed and made this as a gripping watchable material.

The best thing in the movie is the story and it directly connects to many of them. The good and dirty politics that our politicians play is shown clearly in the movie. The movie is a good watch and people who has interest in politics will enjoy the movie. The movie has a sad climax but it brings meaning to the story. The movie has more sentiments in the second half. But it is worth watching if you understood the current Tamil Nadu political status!
