The one who hates running behind girl to express their true love, seeing their college mates, he makes them to take a pledge that they will avoid girls at any cost (in Phase 1) and follow girls in proposing the love (In phase 2). When girl’s witticism comes to an end, here comes to Avanthika (Rehana) from Vizag. The most intelligent flirt Adi starts falling in the trap of Avanthika. In a short time, Adi proposes Avi in the college and she rejects the proposal in the public. But he never stops loving her. At this time, Rahul (Chaitanya Krishna) enters to spoils Adi’s plans. Who is Rahul? What’s his issue with Avi? Did Avanthika parents accept love marriage and will Avanthika consider Adi’s love forms the rest of the storyline.Sumanth Ashwin’s performance and dialogue delivery has improved considerably since his Lovers days and Vema Reddy has ensured there is no trace of Ram left in his performance, yet something is missing. Could be the vigor, intensiveness or the lack of screen presence? He seems to have necessary talent and looks for teenage entertainers. Rehana looks pretty in her looks and performance is fine. The chemistry between the lead pair was missing the magical feel. Thagubothu Ramesh and Sapthagiri limited to small roles and are wasted. Comedians Viva Harsha, Madhu and Srinu failed to tickle the funny bones of the audience. Appaji and Surekha Vani are decent as Rehana’s parents.There is so much new that you can have in a girl meets boy story somebody has to fall in love or somebody has to live without someone. A love story at least has to evoke emotions. If there is more love stories should do even more. But not one of the five is a tear jerker. We have to blame the total script here. The stories were not appropriately full-clad. Except for the main lead story other characters were not perfectly developed to blend into the script. Like a flirt who can manage couple of girls in his life, and even make a bunch of his friends to take oath with his philosophical speech. But he falls into trap of Avanthika easily – Adi never goes to college post proposing love to Avanthika, same thing with their college batch – After Adi gets rejected, director never show what happens to his believers... etc. Some kind of balance between the stories would have really helped the movie.

Chakkiligintha has surely got some original entertaining moments showcasing few bold discussions going on between the young adults. But these moments are not consistent throughout the film and there are several dull moments, which spoil the spirit of the movie as whole. The second half of the film is too lengthy and should have edited severely to leave some impact on the audience.

The songs as a whole, contribute to the positive experience. Oka Kshanam has surprised us with the lyrics. “Baby My Lover” and “Edhi Varake” too are sweet - both to ears and eyes. Background Score of the film is okay. Cinematography (by Sai Sriram) is one of those rare aces in the movie along with its eye catching costume designing. The way he makes use of the localities and lighting deserves a special mention. Karthik Srinivas editing could have applied his scissors more sharply. Dialogues in the film are routine. Choreography suits the tune of the film. Production values of Ilavala Films and Mahi’s entertainment pvt. Ltd are good.

The premise is silly, the plot giddy and the execution lacks a good direction. It appears as though Vema Reddy has to let go of the tackles and is not aware of what is happening with the film. The movie breaks 150 minutes barrier. There are too many subplots and director fails handle them. On the whole, Chakkiligintha starts off good, giving one a Broadway feel then comes the downer.
