They come together and start a abducting business based on the rules made by Daas (Rajasekhar). Pandu and Ramesh (Sathyam Rajesh) along with Daas create a rosy business without getting caught. Suresh (Achu) who is initially loath joins them later. One of their victim's father contacts them to do a kidnapping. He wants them to kidnap Dhaarmaraju's (Senior Naresh) son Sathya Harishchandra. The only problem is that Dharmaraju is the finance minister of the state. Muddiness follows and rest of the movie deals with how these four get out of this mess.Rajasekhar's performance is not that great to be honest. But he had fun playing the mentally perturbed kidnapper. Director plays the spoilsport as he failed to capture the essence of Vijay Sethupathi's character from Soodhu Kavvum. Anyways his mannerisms will please his fans quiet a trifle. Sheena Shahabadi is an apt eye candy and is smooth in her stint. I wish they had made Sheena's situation a little less obvious. Soddhu Kavvum fame Yog Jappe plays the cop Gabbar Singh didn't have a single line of dialogue and his character perfectly builds in the movie for the final part. Lets check out the nut case collection here, Sathyam Rajesh, Achu and the other dude doesnt quite manage to command much fun or sense. Senior Naresh, Sapthagiri and Raghubabu are capable of much better and roles like these doesn’t quite apt for them. Naga Babu does his best.Gaddam Gang is a remake of 2013 blockbuster Tamil film Soodhu Kavvum starring Vijay Sethupathi and Sanchita Shetty in the lead roles. This isn't any great piece of art or path breaking film with some fresh ideas. It talks about a simple concept, with some mentally deranged characters and their characterizations adds new dimension to the proceedings. The major issue with the Telugu version is the director Sathosh Jayakumar (Protege of Journey fame Director Sharavanan ), who fails to excite much finesse into this film. An all in all entertainer that it tries to be ends up being incorrigible and flakey at places. Sadly the punches of the film are mostly dull and remain unmatchable to the original script. The dialogue writer could have worked a bit on adding out native punchlines to the script rather converting the 95% of Tamil script, without even bothering to tweak it at-least a little bit.

The first half of the film is just average till the intermission and it doesn't disappoint the viewer despite having predictable script. But Gaddam Gang is not able to reach that crescendo due to its pretty weak second half and a prolonged climax. The writers falter in a big way as they are not able to define character of main leads in a justified manner. Moreover it all starts dragging in the final segment without any purpose, which fails to leave any relishing effect on the viewers. Coming to other technical departments, Cinematographer Demel X Edwards's work is neat. He properly utilized the locales provided by the makers. Music by Achu is alright, but the director Santhosh Jayakumar made sure that he spoils some decent tunes with situationless timing. Background Score of the film is fine. There are a lot of lethargic scenes, that editor Richard Kevin. A couldn't help the director with, which leaves many questions unanswered too. The production values of Shivani Shivatmika Movies are good.Remakes are usually sly to execute as most often they get lost in rendering despite of the accurate execution. Santhosh Jayakumar makes a faithful by script remake of Soodhu Kavvum. Despite staying true to the original movie feels exanimate as it fails to engage viewers on a emotional and entertaining levels. Both the halves are equally boring with few scenes overall managing to arouse some response. Summing it up, Leave Gaddam gang alone and better checkout for other alternatives for entertainment, this weekend.Rajasekhar,Sheena Shahabadi,Santhosh P,Jeevitha,Achu.Gaddam Gang fails to deliver
