Goundamani, The Solid messageGoundamani, The Solid messageScreenplay, Amateur side actors, Music

Goundamani is back and this time he has taken a much delicate issue and has conveyed the message with comedy. A village is snatched by Politicians and they are trying to grab agricultural lands from the farmers. The farmers are tricked to sell their own lands. How Goundamani helps those farmers to earn the land which they have lost and how he becomes messiah becomes the rest of the story.

The 76 year young man Goundamani is the show-stopper of this movie. Even at this age, the humour quotient has never subsided a bit. He even shakes his leg for two songs. Goundamani has completely shouldered the movie in his hands. Motta Rajendran, Kalavaani fame Thirumugan just did what they were asked to do. Balasingh makes some good appearance on screen and justifies his role.

The editing is mediocre with some edgy cuts. The director makes some revolution with some hardcore dialogues. Kudos to the editor. Nothing to brag about cinematography. P.Arokiyadoss has handled the story, screenplay and directed the project. He should have worked a lot on screenplay. The movie loses steam after a promising start. 'K' has never done much with music but the lyrics in the songs are thought provoking.

Sarcasm and thought provoking dialogues from Goundamani is the only good thing about the movie. The locations, visuals and other technical aspects are just basic. The movie just has shades of last year's 'Kaththi'. Except Goundamani most of the actors are newbies and we can sense some amateurish factor. But still the message which was conveyed and Goundamani's performance has elevated the movie.
