When the organisers of International Film Festival of India ignored Tollywood's achievements while speaking volumes of success of Indian Film Industry's centenary celebrations, many industry greats felt insulted. The very next day they planned to hold a press conference to blast the organisers but instantly IFFI organisers saw through the entire plan and chose to invite popular actor Balakrishna, son of legendary actor and CM of Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Ramarao to be the chief guest for the closing ceremony to cool the tempers. Many thought it is a good occasion to highlight the achievements of Tollywood and put the milestones in a assertive and impressive manner. Balakrishna flew along with his son Mokshagna and spoke in length at the closing ceremony. However those who happened to watch him speak or read from paper felt instead of highlighting the achievements of Tollywood, he addressed the guests as if he was addressing a political rally in Andhra Pradesh. This they felt is like insulting his great father NTR who always used to put Industry and state above self to highlight the pride of telugu people. Balakrishna confined to reading laurels of his late father and his association with TN CM Jayalalitha. His speech was so insipid that all started clapping mid way, in anticipation that he would end the speech. But Balayya took it as appreciation and carried on and on much to the torture of the invitees. It is a known fact that Balakrishna is a poor public speaker unlike his father who spellbounds all with his extempore speeches and dialogue delivery off and on screen. Balakrishna though manages to utter powerful dialogues on screen, he fumbles for words in reality.
