Malayalam actor Thilagan is considered to be one of the most powerful villain. His rawness in villainism was outstanding. Now this movie is being remade by Vijay.
Captain Prabhakaran (1991)
A milestone movie for Vijayakanth as this is his 100th movie. The movie was based on the forest brigade Veerappan. A commercial entertainer and this movie was even considered as a cult classic. It was a trendsetter during the 90's period.

The movie was made to stand against corruption. The movie dealt with lots of issues and it clearly was an eye-opener. Vijaykanth's powerful dialogues added spices and the way he delivers statistics showed his performance. If you need to trust us, this movie was his last sensible hit movie. A.R.Murugadoss directed the movie and recently it was remade in Hindi as 'Gabbar is back' with Akshay Kumar doing the lead role. However the movie was a box-office dud in Hindi. This shows the captain's versatility.
