'Visaranai' is funded by Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and Vetrimaaran's Grass Root Films as a joint venture. The movie is directed by Vetrimaaran and the movie conveys some hard hitting message. This is Vetrimaaran's come back movie after a span of 4 years.
Vetrimaaran was last seen in 2011 with the movie 'Aadukalam'. Actor Samuthirakani, 'Attakathi' Dinesh and 'Aadukalam' Ramdoss are doing the lead roles. The movie was shown at 72nd International Venice Film Festival and the movie even bagged an award.
The movie even got praises from Director AL Vijay, Mysskin and Actress Taapsee. They watched the movie in the film festival and heaped praises. The movie was expected to have a release by December. But now the rains has delayed the movie.
But we hear from sources that it was Vetrimaaran who intentionally delayed the release of the movie. Sources said most of them have told the movie has too much of violence and he wants to make some cuts in theatrical version and this needs some time for him. So he himself delays the project.
