Irudhi Suttru' is one of the recent successful ventures in Kollywood. The movie is written and directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad. Madhavan essayed lead role and he did role of a boxing coach. The movie was made as a bi-lingual in both Tamil and Hindi. The Hindi version is titled as 'Saala Khadoos'.
C.V.Kumar and S. Sashikanth for Thirukumaran Entertainment and Y NOT Studios produce this project. Varun Manian for Radiance Media banner will distribute the movie. Ritika Singh who was a real boxer essayed female lead and she was praised a lot.
Now the movie has got praises from actor Suriya. The actor posted on his official social networking site as, "#IrudiSuttru just saw the film!! Film making can't be more genuine!! Still feel a lump in my throat!! Take a bow! Dir Sudha @ActorMadhavan"
The movie even on its second weekend is running successfully. Earlier the movie got praises from Director Shankar and Director Bala too. The movie has given Tamil cinema a new hope.
