Telugu Cinema or Telugu audience are not new for remake but for the last couple of years the number of remakes in Telugu decreased considerably. But all of sudden, there is a surge in their number. As many as eight remakes are in production or under planning right now. Most of these are being helmed by star heroes. This may be also a cause of worry about lacking of novel ideas in Tollywood.
