'Sarrainodu' has failed in overseas. After failing to score in Premiere shows, the movie picked up slowly on day two. But still the distributors looked for at least $1.5 Million from the first weekend. Even 'Rudramadevi' where he did a lengthy cameo fetched 970,000$.
Also his last two movies easily scored Two Million dollars and distributors with that hope bought the rights of the movie for an unreasonable price of Rs.5.5 Crores. So the movie was expected to bring $1.6 Million in return in USA. But on the first weekend, the movie has grossed about 630k dollars and it may add another 200 to 300k in its lifetime.
So the distributors will incur aroud 40% losses. As the movie is a commercial entertainer, the Box-office prospects are also low. Trade sources feel that the movie might be a disaster than 'Sardaar Gabbar Singh' for overseas distributors.
However the exact figures will be known only after two weeks of its run. But the screen count is reduced substantially even before the first weekend.
