The Bollywood super star Salman Khan who was appointed as goodwill ambassador for the Indian contingent in the upcoming Rio Olympics has received criticism from prominent sports persons like wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt and Milkha Singh.
The legendry 85 year old sprinter Milkha Singh said . “I am of the view that sports persons,whether they are from wrestling, Athletics, volleyball or any other sports, they are the real ambassadors of India who would represent the country in the Olympics. Still, if we had to pick an ambassador, it could have been from the sporting field,".
Kolkota knight riders captain Gambhir is also against the move. “There are lot of legendary sports persons in the country . They have done massive things in this country, I would have been happier if Abhinav Bindra or someone else made the goodwill ambassador,” Gambhir said
