Entrepreneur-turned-film producer Prasad.V.Potluri who is fondly called as PVP in movie circles has just lost 100 Crores in film production. Earlier they were lots of buzz that PVP is stepping out of production due to repeated losses. In Tamil cinema, they tasted repeated losses with Arya doing lead role. In Telugu despite 'Oopiri' and 'Kshanam' they have incurred huge losses.

PVP came into production with Tamil movie 'Rajapattai' which had Vikram in lead role. The movie got released in Telugu as 'Veedinthe'. The opening movie itself was a disaster and since then the movie is facing lots of setbacks. 'Balupu' was an average grosser and even the successful 'Oopiri' never was a commercial success.

Of course, it did well in overseas. Now with latest 'Brahmotsavam' the production house has been completely shattered into pieces and they would lose money badly. Even though PVP made money by selling it to buyers, now PVP is forced to compensate the distributors from the losses.

So is PVP completely on down-hill ? NO! 'Kshanam' was the only saving grace. Even though 100 Crores is peanuts for PVP, failures like these is just a hindrance to his production career.
