Former Miss Universe Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Sarabjit movie released recently and got a good responce among audience all over! But the disappointment is the movie cant have a release in Pakistan. The reason is due of the subject of the movie which is anti-Pakistan? How a Pakistani distributor would buy the movie?
Another reason is the off-beat theme. There are no commercial elements like ‘song-dance sequences which are common in Bollywood films and for which there is huge market in Pakistan. So, no distributors are ready to buy the movie which would not bring returns for sure!
Most of the Bollywood films which are non-commercial, didn’t get any distributors in Pakistan. Coming to the domestic run, the film didn't really get a great run. However, Aishwarya is the commercial selling point of the film it earned mixed reviews from the critics.
