Megastar Chiranjeevi's Prestigious 150th film is going to be the official remake of Tamil blockbuster, Kathi starring Vijay. This was decided long ago but the shooting did not begin due to a controversy about the movie story rights. A Telugu writer alleged that Vijay stole his story and passed it on to his director Murugadoss who made the blockbuster film.
The issue is in Film Chamber even before Chiranjeevi decided to do the remake. Dasari Narayana Rao also got involved in the controversy and ruled in favour of the Telugu writer. Chiranjeevi paused the movie shoot until the controversy is solved because he do not want his comeback film to be marred with controversies.
As the controversy seem to be not ending. The Megastar himself involved and settled the issue. He reportedly made the original makers give some compensation to the writer and also assured to give credits for the story. The remake film, Kathilantodu will now start rolling from June 3rd. Ram Charan himself is producing the film.
