Telugu Cinema audience have no language barriers when it comes to good films. We have seen them lapping Superstars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan to latest superstars like Suriya. The recent super success of Bichagadu is another big example. The movie was bought for just 50 Lakhs and has collected about 13 Crore Share.
Coming to the Topic, however with Bichagadu success, the hero of the film, Vijay Anthony suddenly became popular in Telugu States. He is now being referred to as Bichagadu Vijay Anthony. Even though the name is a bit degrading, there is no way as audience are recognizing him with the same name.
Even Pressnotes of his other films releasing in Telugu are referring him Bichagadu Vijay Anthony. Earlier Karthi used to be referred as Awara Karthi. The name was treated insulting back then but now Awara is much better than Bichagadu. If Vijay Anthony becomes successful like Karthi, he will not mind the insult.
