Superstar Rajinikanth's Kabali has created a whirlwind at the box office on its release day despite the negative talk and reviews it garnered. However, the Overseas distributor of the film, Cine Galaxy came up with an intelligent plan so as to minimize the effect of bad reviews of the film in Overseas.
The Premiere shows of the films in Overseas started very early at around 11AM on the day before the release and maximum collections were derived from the shows. Cine Galaxy purchases the Overseas Rights of Telugu and Tamil versions put together for around 8 Crore and by Thursday, they have reached the break-even mark.
The distributor started minting profits from Friday. Going by the steam, the movie is likely to poll in profits through the first weekend despite the talk and reviews. The movie is going to be a very good profit venture going forward. Box Office Experts say if Chiranjeevi's Prestigious 150th film, his comeback project also should follow this strategy to use the hype and enter in to profits very early.
