Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan received Chevalier de L'Ordre Arts et Lettres (The Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) from the France government which was got by Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan previously.
As known by all it is only two tamil actors who got the prestigious Chevalier from France and it is to be noted that there is a man who got the recognition between these two legends.
Magician turned actor Alex who died in 2011 due to illness received the Chevalier in the year 2010 and the actor made his acting debut in Rajinikanth starrer movie Valli. His name has a place in the guiness record for doing a magic show continuously for 24 hours and also in the Limca book of records.
Indian Actors who got this prestigious title earlier are Amithab bachan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Nandita Das. Alex is one unsung talent who got the recognition from India.
