Expectations are indeed the main factor which decides the result of a film, whether it may be a high budget or a low budget film! The expectation should be in a right level to maintain the success of movie. Even high expectations can ruin the film's result due to sore content in the film. Lets look out the movies which failed to meet the sky high expectations created by the teaser/trailer of the film.
1. Anjaan
Probably the most stylish teaser of this age is undoubtedly Anjaan starring Suriya directed by Lingusamy is expected to be a hardcore gangster flick according to glimpse shown in teaser of film. But people were disappointed to see the weak content of film irrelevant to the teaser expectations! A best example to start the list.
2. I
Considered as an ambitious Indian product and said so by the team of makers directed by Shankar the film looked a lot intriguing and promising as witnessed in the teaser of film, it doesn't have any interesting subject in the film except the hardwork of Vikram wasted in a meaningless script!
3. Puli
For the first time ever Vijay is seen trying some out of box movie as a fantasy thriller directed by Chimbudevan, the film was expected to be an adventurous ride as showed in teaser and trailer but ended as a weird experience for all.
4. Maari
Dhanush trying out as a full fledged screen presence movie without a good script by Balaji Mohan failed a big time by showing like a racy screenplay in the trailer the movie had nothing in story and screenplay except of Robo Shankar's comedy and Anirudh-Dhanush's powerpacked music.
5. Kochadaiyaan
Seen as the first ever in its kind of motion capturing technology by Rajinikanth's daughter Soundarya, definitely had a lot of expectations due to the technology and Rajini factor, but film didn't make any impression with that childish graphics and unusual content.
