The other day, the makers of Naga Chaitanya's Premam have released the Evare Song Teaser from their film. This song is the Telugu version of the Malar Song in the Original Premam. As soon as the Teaser video is released, Tamil and Malayalam fans had a field run in the social media mocking the Telugu Premam.
They mocked Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan comparing them with Navin Pauly and Sai Pallavi. Telugu fans also counter-attacked showing how Kollywood failed with the remakes of classics like 3 Idiots, Bangalore Days and Drishyam. However, they themselves are embarrassed with the quality of our own Premam.
Akkineni fans defended saying that Remakes will be made according to sensibilities of local audience and if it is the case of mimicking the Original, then they can dub the original film. But then, it is really a bad start to Premam promotions. Premam is being planned for Dussehra Release.
Naga Chaitanya will be seen as Vikram in the film while Shruti Hassan will be seen as Sitara in the movie. Karthikeya fame Chandoo Mondeti is wielding megaphone for this remake film. Premam girls - Anupama Parameshwaran and Madonna Sebastine are also acting in this film in two crucial roles.
