Mollywood star Jayaram’s son in “Poomaram”, the upcoming Kalidas Jayaram featuring campus story, is directed by Abrid Shine has started rolling in Ernakulam and the pooja ceremony of the movie was recently held at Maharajas College, Ernakulam.
Jayaram, the popular actor and Kalidas's father, has given the 'first clap' for the movie, while his mother and former actress Parvathy has performed the 'switch on' ceremony, while his younger sister Malavika was also present at the event.
Mollywood sources have added that several important personalities from the film industry, including the veteran directors Joshiy, Kamal, Sibi Malayil, etc. were also present at the event and the filming of the first schedule will begin by next week.
Meanwhile Abrid Shine, the director has revealed that “Poomaram” was not a script which is written for Kalidas, but the team has decided to rope in as he perfectly suits the role and a newcomer will essay the female lead in the movie and along with Kalidas, a group of newcomers will also appear in the key roles in the movie.
The team is busy conducting the auditions, for the rest of the star cast at the various popular college campuses of Kerala. It is the Mollywood lead role debut for Kalidas, who is familiar to the audiences as a child artist. He will soon make his lead role debut in Tamil, with the forthcoming project “Oru Pakka Kathai”.
