Narendra Modi government had brought Income Declaration Scheme which allows the citizen to declare their black money and get away from prosecution and imprisonment by paying a penalty. The scheme will end on 30th of this month. Modi government had pinned high hopes on this scheme to fill its coffers and so set hefty tax collection targets to the Tax department.
As the deadline nears, the department had started raids on the big fishes to reach the targets. In the wake of this, several big shot producers of Tollywood have suddenly disappeared and are on foreign tours. While they are said to be on a recreational tours, they have carried all the account books with them to escape the possibility of raids.
In the producers who fled the country are - Producers who recently bagged a nearly 80 Crore Share film, Producer whose Summe release got over 75 Crore, a producer who bagged a 50 Crore Share blockbuster this Sankranthi and few other producers who have started the business of their forthcoming projects.
