A leading Tamil Trade analyst confessed that the movie has done a poor show at Chennai Box-Office due to various factors. Even now, the 'Jallikattu' ban has resulted in Statewide protests and people are completely staying away from theaters.
Also, Tamil Nadu people have already watched the Original version 'Kaththi', which is an even better quality product that what V.V.Vinayak has directed in Telugu. So, the movie has easily bombed at the Box-Office. This came as a shock to Chiranjeevi as he expected that to be his strongest zone and his dear friend Rajini also supported him.
