Tamil Star Hero, Suriya's S3 (Singham-3 / Yamudu-3) did overcome several postponements and finally released last Friday. There is an uncertainty about the movie release till the last minute due to the political turmoil in Tamil Nadu, as a result, the openings are not to the level of Singham Series.
In fact, the movie lost the race to Nani's Nenu Local. Singham-3 just managed to put slightly better first weekend numbers than Nenu Local Second Weekend Numbers and that too due to Ceeded contribution. If not for the mass audience in Ceeded, Singham-3 First Weekend Collections would be less than that of Nenu Local Second Weekend Collections.
Suriya at one stage has the range and demand on par with the star heroes. He is next only to Superstar Rajinikanth among dubbing heroes in Telugu. But now back to back failures are denting into Suriya's market here. The actor should immediately resort to corrective measures to do the damage control.
