Currently in Kollywood industry many movies are getting delayed which had become more common. The reason for the delay is because of financial problem or political problem or theatre shortage problem. Initially the maker will announce a release date, and later they will announce a different date for releasing a movie.
The teammates of Rajinikanth’s 2.0 had previously stated that the movie will hit screens for 2017 Deepawali, but currently it was stated that the movie will be released on January 25th 2018. Nayanthara and Siva Karthikeyan’s Velaikkaran from August 25th is postponed to September 29th.

Preeth Singh is romancing Mahesh Babu in the movie. Sources have stated that
the movie is planned to hit screens on June 23rd and it is
anticipated that announcement will come about the postponement of the movie to
August.
