As per the latest report from sources it was stated that Tamilnadu people, who are known for patronizing the films made only in Tamil, have not welcomed Baahubali 2 on a grand note whereas the film opened to earth shattering collections across all other territories.
It was stated that as days progressed, the Baahubali phenomenon won the hearts of Tamil people and now the film has emerged as the highest grosser in Tamil Nadu, beating Superstar Rajinikanth's 7 year old record set by 'Enthiran' alias Robot.
Currently Baahubali 2 Tamil has emerged as the only
second film to gross 100 crore in Tamil Nadu. Rajini's Enthiran was the first.
Baahubali 2 however is the fastest to the 100 crore feat as the Rajamouli
directorial took just 16 days. The film also dethroned Enthiran to become the
highest grosser in Tamil Nadu.
Baahubali 2 however is lagging behind Enthiran and Vijay's 'Theri' in the Distributor Share department as it was not made tax-free in TN unlike the other two films. A non-Tamil film grossing 100 crore in Tamil Nadu, was never considered to be even a remote possibility until Baahubali 2 cast its magical spell on Tamil people. Baahubali 2 is cruising towards 1500 crore gross worldwide.
