Manjima Mohan had a dream debut with Gautam Vasudev Menon's bilingual 'Saahasam Swaasaga Saagipo' / 'Achcham Enbathu Madamayada'. The movie was a decent hit and it also earned her accolades.
Even though her acting skills were praised, she was badly criticized for her
fat looks. Even recently she did the female lead role in Vikram Prabhu's
'Sathiriyan'. Now, during one of the promotional event, Manjima Mohan shared a
bitter experience she had with a director.
She said, she went to audition for a famous movie under a leading director and
finally the director rejected her citing her excess weight as a reason. Manjima
also said, these days she learned to handle criticism. Manjima also said that
she loves to do a straight Telugu film provided the script is so good.
