Nayantara is fondly called as 'Lady Superstar' as she can single-handedly carry an entire movie. All of her recent releases are female-centric movies. She has 'Aram' under her belt in which she is essaying the role of a collector.
In this case, recently there were reports that, Nayantara has been contacted for the role of female lead in India's costliest project 'Sangamitra'. The shooting is expected to go on floors by the month of August.
A little bird close to the team confessed us that the makers approached Nayantara to do the female lead role and Nayantara turned down the offer. She has said to them that she would have accepted if she was offered the role at first. Now, as Shruti walked away this chance has knocked doors and she feels as if she is a second-hand chance.
