Allu Arjun's 'DJ' is in a lot of spotlights as Bunny is basking on hat-trick successes in recent times. Harish Shankar who directed the movie promised that the movie will be highly entertaining and as he is playing the role of Brahmin for the first time, expectations caught on everywhere.

Okay, first of all, this movie never portrays Brahmins in the wrong light and it stays faithful to its origins. The movie has all typical commercial elements necessary to make it an entertainer. However, the routine template is what actually troubles the movie.

Action, Humor, Glamor, Thumping songs are fit in the right spots, But the concrete base which is the script is wafer think and weak. The movie has some spine-chilling action sequences which are beautifully shot. But still, the writing and editing were sub-par.

Once you watch the movie you will understand what we try to convey. The first half, in particular, is too tedious and this is probably due to the bad writing and editing. We can never connect with any of the characters and never feel any overwhelming emotion about their situation.

Everything seems slightly hollow and empty. Also, there were many things in the movie which are left unexplained. It could've been an amazing movie, but with a little disappointment, it ends up as the not-a-bad film.
