Mollywood's Sunday Holiday, the Asif Ali starrer was released on 13th July, Thursday. The movie, which has already earned the super hit status at the Kerala box office, is directed by Bicycle Thieves fame director Jis Joy. According to the latest reports, Sunday Holiday has made a total gross collection of Rs. 5.95 Crores from the Kerala box office, within the first 8 days of its release.
Sources have stated that it is undoubtedly a highly impressive collection for a low budget venture. The Asif Ali movie had crossed the 5 Crore collections at the Kerala box office, within the first 6 days of its release. Sunday Holiday had made a total gross collection of Rs. 5.04 Crores, when it completed 6 days at the releasing centres.
Meanwhile it was stated that Sunday Holiday, which
was released without much pre-release hype, made a strictly average
opening at the Kerala box office, by collecting Rs. 1.27 Crores within the
first two days. But the positive reviews helped the increase in collection from
the third day. The movie went on to make made a gross collection of 3.47
Crores, within the first 4 days.
