Crazy star Nithiin, who broke into the 50 crores club with his sensational comeback flick "A Aa" by Trivikram Srinivas, co-starring Samantha, had a risky release last Friday, with his "LIE", directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and co-starring Action King Arjun and debutant Megha Akash.
The young actor has created ripples in the industry, with his open, honest talk about the movie, in the success meet held recently. "As I had played a romantic role in A Aa, I didn't wish to be cast in another soft role again, and hence opted for the bearded makeover, with rugged looks.And that was when Hanu approached with LIE, and we deliberately decided to avoid comedy tracks and also song placements only when needed" said the actor.
Nithiin further added, "LIE will be a special hit in my career, as it was a risky choice, and my producers Ram Achanta, Gopi Achanta and Anil Sunkara must be thanked for deciding confidently to play this unsafe game and believing in the script. In fact, I could not sleep on 10th, the day before release, and Hanu and I were sad after initial mixed reviews from India. However the response has turned out to be good later, and with positive talk, the film's collection has also improved, from Friday to Sunday".
Just as Nithiin said, LIE started off with mixed reviews, but has turned out to be a safe venture for everyone concerned, as the other two August 11 releases, Nene Raju Nene Mantri and Jaya Janaki Nayaka have been finding it tough to sustain amidst negative reviews, and the growing positive response from audience for the gamble that worked for Nithiin called LIE !!
