Chennai sources have made a statement that popular Tamil actor and comedian Shanmugasundaram has passed away at his home in Saligramam in Chennai. Sources have stated that the yesteryear actor, who suffered from prolonged illness, breathed his last on Tuesdaymorning. He was 77.
According to sources it was stated that Shanmugasundaram made his debut in Sivaji Ganesan's 1963 classic Ratha Thilagam. The actor's last movie was Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan, which released on June 23, 2017.
Sources have stated that Shanmuga has also acted in the TV serials like Annamalai and Selvi starring Radhika Sarath Kumar in the lead role. Shanmuga was active till the end in a career spanning six decades.
