Bollywood industry sources have stated that Farhan Akhtar’s ancestral roots are in Khairabad, a small town in the Sitapur district of Uttar Pradesh, which lies near Lucknow The star was in Lucknow to promote his forthcoming film Lucknow Cenrtal and decided to visit Khairabad as well. He took to Instagram to announce his visit. Must say he was looking quite dapper in the indigo kurta and whole pajamas combo that we see in the insta photo.
Meanwhile this is what the caption said, “Morning. Off to Lucknow and then onward to Khairabad today a journey to pay respects to his ancestors and learn more about his roots.” Lucknow Central directed by Ranjit Tiwari stars Gippy Grewal, Diana Penty, Ronit Roy, Deepak Dobriyal et al besides Farhan and is said to be about a group of inmates who form a rock band in a jail.
Meanwhile Farhan recently released a new song from the film at Pune’s
Yerwada jail on the occasion of Independence Day, August 15 in the presence of
around 4000 inmates. The film is slated to be released on September 15, 2017.
