Superstar Mahesh Babu is gearing up for the release of his upcoming flick SPYder, and being bilingual, the audio launch event of the Tamil version of the movie was held last Saturday in Kalaivanar Arangam, Chennai. The event was a grand success and was attended by popular producers and directors of Tamil film industry, and the crew will now move to the pre release event planned on September 15 at Shilpakala Vedika.
The A.R.Murugadoss directorial also starring Rakul Preet Singh as the female lead and SJ Surya and Bharath as antagonists, all set to release on September 27 simultaneously in both Tamil and Telugu doesn't have much of a contest in Tollywood, as Jr NTR's Jai Lava Kusa releases a week ahead of SPYder. However, in Tamil, the movie will be facing a big clash.
Though the makers of SPYder had a moment of relief when the Siva Karthikeyan starrer Velaikkaran by Mohan Raja which was supposed to release on the same day was postponed to December, their happiness didn't last long, as the team of Vijay Sethupathi's Karuppan have announced a September 29 release. With 2017 being very successful for Vijay Sethupathi with Kavan and Vikram Vedha, besides getting to star in Chiru's Sye Raa in a negative role, it is to be seen if SPYder will be affected by Karuppan.
