Actor Surya is going through a critical phase of his career, with none of his films Barring the Singam series performing at the box office. In the last 4-5 years, he has succeeded only with Singam, Singam 2 and Singam 3, and his other flicks Massu Engira Maasilamani, Anjaan turning out to be disasters.
The Handsome actor is currently working on Thaanaa Serndha Koottam directed by young maker Vignesh Shivan. The director, fresh from the success of Naanum Rowdythaan, has been making the film for quite some time and recently revealed few critical dates for the film after numerous requests from diehard fans of Suriya. The director has announced that the second single of the film will be released by October, the teaser will be out in November, and the Audio & trailer launch will be in December.
Costarring Keerthy Suresh, Ramya Krishnan, Karthik, Senthil, RJ Balaji in important roles, the film has Music by Anirudh and is rumored to be the unofficial remake of Bollywood superhit Special 26 starring Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal, directed by Neeraj Pandey.
However, this delay has happened as Director Vignesh Shivan was busy focusing more on Nayantara and not on the movie. To recall, Suriya's 'Singam 3' which was delayed repeatedly failed due to the late release.
