Legendary singer K J Yesudas who is a Christian by birth - has been granted special permission to visit the centuries heritage rich old Sree Padmanabha Swamy temple get dharshan and offer worship.
A special meeting of the temple administrative committee, that appointed by the Supreme Court to manage such kind temple affairs, finally decided to accept the request letter and declaration regarding his wish submitted by Yesudas.
According to custom, only ardent believers of Hinduism are permitted this sacred entry at the temple, which is a major pilgrim centre and main tourist attraction in the southern part of the country.To be mentioned, Singer Yesudas has been a regular visitor to the famous Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala. He has also sung several hit devotional songs in praise of Hindu Gods.
