Bollywood has been churning out one biopic after the other, with few of them like the Milkha Singh Biopic "Bhaag Milkha bhaag", Mahendra Singh Dhoni biopic " M.S.Dhoni : The Untold Story", Sonam Kapoor's "Neerja", and Aamir Khan starrer Dangal, the biopic of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat which turned out to be Indian cinema's biggest Blockbuster, grossing more than 2000 Crores.
Now, an interesting announcement has been made that, CCL founder Vishnu Induri is all set to produce the biopic of India's first Worldcup winning Captain, the hero of 1983 Worldcup, all-rounder Kapil Dev, and that this flick will star heartthrob Ranveer Singh in the title role. This sports Biopic will be directed by Kabir Khan of New York, Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame.
The exciting project will also have producer Allu Aravind as a part of it, as he might co-produce it, while also facilitating the release of the biggie in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil. It must be noted that Bollywood has had its fair share of disastrous biopics as well, like the recently released Haseena starring Shraddha Kapoor.
