Mahesh Babu's 'Spyder' may have opened to negative critics and reviews, but the common factor which got praises from everyone is SJ Surya's 'Bhairavudu' character. Most of the critics and movie buffs compared the character with Christopher Nolan's well-written character 'The Joker'. But, never do it. And we bring you some reasons to read,

Even though it's a comic character, Director Christopher Nolan has made some extensive research over the characters in 'The Dark Knight' trilogy he crafted. That's why those are well defined and got accolades.

Scarecrow:

The Scarecrow is one of the most terrifying of Villains and he is a sadist in the position of power. He enjoys watching people's minds getting fear. He uses fear as a tool to ultimately get what he wants independent of what it might cost others.

Christopher Nolan has made some research on a Real life person named Theodore Kaczynski.

He had some extensive research with Mr.Jeffrey Lieberman, who is the Chairman of Psychiatry at the Columbia University.

Theodore became vengeful and he took it out on Society. And he became a murderous crazy person.

Dr. Robert T.M. Phillips from Forensic Consultation Associates, Inc., says that these guys never meet the legal definition of insanity. He says, "In every Psychiatric text that's published you will find nowhere, on any of its pages, the word "insane", because "insane" is a legal, not a clinical term.

He says a perfect example too, Jeffrey Dahmer! He says, "How can a person who kills his victims, cuts them up, has their heads in the freezer and not be crazy?

And yet he did not meet the test of insanity in Wisconsin. The test for insanity is knowing that the act was wrong and not having the ability to conform behavior. He doesn't meet that test. He did it because he wanted to."

Does this character Ring a Bell? Christopher Nolan has done much research before writing a well-written character called Scarecrow in 'Batman Begins'

The Joker

Of all the evildoers in Batman's Universe, none is more explosive or unpredictable than the homicidal nemesis known simply as 'The Joker'. He represents a Kind of chaos, of meaningless, of randomness. Most villain characters justify the terrible things they do as: "I am doing this for my family. I am doing this because the world hates me." The Joker does it because "I am as nutty as a squirrel and I'm proud of that." Even in TDK movie, Alfred would say, "Some men aren't looking for anything logical. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just wanna watch the World burn."

Once again, Christopher Nolan brings a Real life example, John Hinckley!

Dr.Phillips says, "He believed, amidst his psychosis and narcissism that if he were to assassinate the President of the United States of America,

Jodie Foster would fall in love with him.

You see quickly where the logic in that line of thought falls apart." Danny Fingernoth says, "Joker is a unique villain and he is not even necessarily after money or power or any of those traditional things. So that's really the hardest Kind of evil to fight because you can't bargain with it."

Finally, Christopher Nolan says, "I think The Joker is the logical response to a character like Batman. Because Batman raised this extremity of behavior in Gotham as he puts on a mask, taps into people's fears and there's all of the technology he employs. He's distinguished himself to fight crime.

Christopher Nolan also makes a detailed discussion with Mr.Benjamin R Karney who is an Associate Professor of Social Psychology at UCLA.  He studied the depth of 'The Joker' character to craft it to perfection.

Christopher Nolan examines the Psychological causes behind The Joker and he made a well-written character in the end. And, we don't need to explain, how good Late.Heath Ledger acted in that role.

This article is not to degrade SJ Suryah or Director A.R.Murugadoss. This article is just to show that, don't make silly comparisons. AR Murugadoss may have copied or may have been inspired from Christopher Nolan. But he is nowhere near the genius. The amount of effort put by Christopher Nolan before he makes a movie cannot be elaborated by words!

And Kudos to SJ Suryah and Mahesh Babu in 'SPYDER'. SJ Suryah has got a lifetime role and it's a Crown jewel in his career. Mahesh Babu has taken back seat and gave space to the antagonist which normally star heroes won't prefer in South Indian movies...

Last but not the Least, think twice before making your comparisons! Comparing Christopher Nolan/AR Murugadoss, Heath Ledger/SJ Suryah would be like comparing an Ocean with a Pond!
