Petite beauty Catherine Tresa has been in the industry for quite some time now but is yet to score a big hit as a solo heroine. Right from the time she debuted in Tollywood, she has been mostly seen as a second lead, or alongside any other heroine, and has been utilized only for her glam angle, say for instance her earlier flicks like Iddarammayilatho, Paisa, Rudhramadevi, and last year's Sarrainodu, besides recent flicks Nene Raju Nene Mantri and Gautam Nanda.

While she was all set to land in a project that could satisfy her dreams of being a solo heroine, in a Tolly flick, even that has been shattered, if sources are to be believed. The pretty babe was supposed to play the female lead opposite Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, in an upcoming flick to be directed by Laxman, This film, which is the official Telugu remake of Bogan by Laxman himself, was supposed to have Catherine Tresa reprising the role played by Hansika Motwani in the original.

However, in a twist to the events, it has been reported that Catherine might be replaced by her very own Nene Raju Nene Mantri costar, the Pucca local beauty Kajal Aggarwal, who's on a high with back to back biggies like the recently released Vivegam, MLA, Paris Paris, to name a few. Meanwhile, the team is currently considering to rope in SJ Surya to play the principal antagonist role, played by Arvind Swamy in the tamil original.
